Communal Cleaner
- Part-time and full-time, weekday daytime hours
- Liverpool & Merseyside
Clean the shared areas of managed apartment blocks on a fixed weekly round — the same buildings, on the same days, to the same written specification.
What you’ll do
- Cleaning entrances, lobbies, stairwells, landings and corridors
- Wiping lift cars, mirrors, glazing, handrails and touchpoints
- Tidying bin stores and communal facilities
- Following each building’s cleaning checklist and reporting any issues
- Looking after keys and fobs securely
What we’re looking for
- Right to work in the UK
- Willing to complete a background check
- Reliable, punctual and proud of a job done properly
- Previous cleaning experience is helpful but not essential — full training is provided
- A driving licence is a bonus for some rounds
Cleaning Team Leader
- Full-time, weekday daytime hours
- Liverpool & Merseyside
Lead a small team across a round of Liverpool blocks, keep standards consistent and be the go-to person on site for quality checks.
What you’ll do
- Running a daily round of communal cleans with your team
- Carrying out routine quality checks against each building’s specification
- Training and supporting new cleaners
- Managing key-holding and access arrangements
- Reporting maintenance issues spotted on site
What we’re looking for
- Right to work in the UK
- Willing to complete a background check
- Experience in commercial or communal cleaning
- Confident leading and motivating a small team
- Full UK driving licence

Working at Mersey Block Cleaning.
Do I need cleaning experience to apply?
No. Experience is helpful for the cleaner role but not essential — we provide full training and every building has a written checklist to follow. Team leader applicants need previous commercial or communal cleaning experience.
What hours will I work?
Our cleaning is done on fixed weekday rounds during the day, so you'll know your buildings and days in advance. We have part-time and full-time hours available.
Where will I be working?
In the communal areas of managed apartment blocks across Liverpool and Merseyside — including the city centre, the waterfront and the surrounding suburbs. We try to build rounds close to where our team lives.
Do you provide equipment and uniform?
Yes. We provide the cleaning equipment, products and uniform you need for every building.
Will I need a background check?
Yes. We hold keys to residents' buildings, so everyone on our team is vetted before starting. We'll guide you through the check once you're offered a role.
